Cosmetic Surgery Pre-Operative Instructions

Although pre-operative instructions for each surgery is different, you can find some of the most important do’s and don’ts before your cosmetic surgery below;

Pre-Operative Instructions

1 Week Before Your Surgery

  • You need to stop taking aspirin, drinking herbal tea and alcohol 1 week before the surgery.
  • You need to stop or at least decrease smoking 1 week before the surgery.
  • If you are taking a medicine for some cases, you should tell us about it and get confirmation from your doctor.
  • 1 Day Before Your Surgery

    • You should not eat or drink something, not even water after the midnight before your surgery, as well as your surgery day in the morning.
    • You can brush your teeth in the morning but do not drink anything
    • You should not have a make-up, fake nails or nail polish.
    • Take a shower just before the night of your surgery day.
    • Do not use any cosmetic product like, lotion, creams, hair gels, perfumes, etc.
    • Do not wear eye contacts to your surgery.
    • Please wear loose fitting clothes, especially comfortable tops in order to pull off easily. Do not wear t-shirts that are needed to be taken off over your head.
    • Please keep in mind that you should inform your doctor if you are on medication, have any illnesses or had any surgery before.
