Leg Lift Surgery

What Is A Leg Lift(Thigh Lift)?

Thigh Lift(leg lift), also called thighplasty, is a surgery done to reshape the thighs by taking out the fat that isn’t wanted, also removing the saggy skin on the interior part and or exterior part of thighs.

Leg lift surgery is usually done with another surgery like an arm lift. The reason for this operation is to reduce the saggy skin on the thighs. This procedure is the best choice for people who are not happy with their legs and it is the best solution for people who are dissatisfied with the appearance of their legs and would like to have legs that aren’t soft and are attractive legs.

Thigh Lift is done for the skin that isn’t as elastic as it used to be on inner and outer thighs. People who have lost a lot of weight usually are suitable because they may have saggy skin on their thighs.

How Is Leg Lift Performed?

Depending on the size of the area that will have the procedure, thighplasty generally takes around 2 to 3 hours. And whilst the patient is in surgery, the patient will be under general anaesthesia.

Following the general anaesthesia, surgical cuts are made. Plastic surgeon decides on the type of surgical cut. This is all based upon the patients requirements and expectations. After the surgical cuts, saggy skin is taken out, and finally, the surgical cuts are fastened.

Usually patients stay at the hospital for one night. Depending on how the patient feels, they may stay 2-3 nights in the hospital.

Plastic surgeon makes a cut at the joint where the thigh connects with the groin. By doing this cut, the plastic surgeon can go into the basal The inner thigh lift isn’t a complicated procedure and major issues don’t occur.
  • Outer Thigh Lift: Dubbed Lateral Thigh Lift. When this procedure is compared to the other leg lift approaches, this procedure, outer thigh lift is noticeably more complicated and the surgical cuts are more substantial.
  • Bilateral Thigh Lift: Also named as Circumferential Thigh Lift, this procedure is done to tighten the skin both on the forefront and exterior of the leg. While the plastic surgeon carries out the bilateral leg lift, the surgeon will create a V-shaped cut at the lower side of a bikini bottom. This approach lifts not only the thighs but also the patient’s

What Is The Recovery Like?

Following the surgery, you may wonder “what now?”, healing time is determined by the extent of the procedure. Usually a lot of the patients don’t feel a lot of pain. The reason for this is, because pain relief is prescribed for when patients are discharged. One of the rules is, patients ought to take it easy as much as possible and steer clear of leg activity.

After the procedure, patients must take seven to ten days off work to heal. Bruising and swelling usually is gone in about a month and patients are able to go back to all of their usual businesses or hobbies in about four to six months. But patients need to remember that, every human heals differently and you may not be fully healed as quickly as the other person. Sometimes it can take up to 12 months to fully heal.
